Supernatural Brownies

I wanted something sweet, but indecision on what to make plagued me. Thus, I told Kalvin he had to choose AND make the recipe. Boy, did he choose a winner! I have to say these are some of the best brownies I have ever had. The texture is even throughout, not like some brownies where the middle is super gooey and the edges are really hard and dry. Maybe the parchment paper had something to do with it, but either way they are the perfect texture with the perfect amount of chocolatey taste.

Supernatural Brownies
adapted from Once Upon a Chef

Ingredients
2 sticks (1/2 pound) unsalted butter - I only used 1 1/2 sticks.
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate - I used half bakers semisweet chocolate and half dark chocolate chips
4 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar - I used a little less
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
One 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, lined with parchment paper and greased with butter or nonstick cooking spray

Directions
1. Set the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees.
2. Melt butter in microwave safe bowl. Combine butter and chocolate. microwave for about 15 secs at a time and stir often until chocolate is  melted.
3. Whisk eggs together in a large bowl, then whisk in the salt, sugars, and vanilla. Stir in the chocolate and butter mixture (make sure it's not too hot), then fold in the flour.
4. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 30 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
