Hamburger soup

This is a Crockpot soup that cooks for 6-8 hours. It is very delicious with rolls (coming soon).

Hamburger soup

1 lb cooked lean ground beef
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1 envelop onion soup mix
3 cups boiling water
1-2 8 oz can tomato sauce (I usually do 2)
1 TBS soy sauce
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup macaroni, cooked and drained - cook and store it separately, pasta doesn't freeze well.
cheddar cheese

I add in about 1/4-1/2 cup dry barley to give it more bulk and fiber.

Crumble beef into slow cooking pot. Add pepper, oregano, basil, seasoned salt, and dry onion soup mix. Stir in water, tomato sauce, and soy sauce. Add celery and carrots. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Add cooked macaroni just before serving.
Shred cheddar cheese on top of each serving.

I didn't get any pictures of the final product unfortunately. This was the only picture I took of the soup, and it's sad at best.
