Snickerdoodles

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 3/4 cups flour
dash of vanilla
Mix butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Roll in balls, then roll in mixture of 2 T sugar and 1 T cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart and bake at 400*F for 8-10 minutes.
